Things to Do - Sooke
As one of the oldest settlements on Vancouver Island's West Coast, Sooke appears to have been specifically located with recreational fishing in mind. 35 kms. west of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, this quiet, uncrowded community includes Sooke and East Sooke, all bordering Sooke Basin and Sooke Harbour. Accommodations range from campgrounds, motel, cottages, bed and breakfasts and a small exclusive hotel. Both the harbour and basin are well protected from offshore winds providing excellent kayaking opportunities, sheltered boat launch ramps, moorage and charter fishing guides. More information on Sooke is available at Tourism BC.
